We are very excited to be offering this very rare Fender Custom Shop 57 heavy relic strat in a stunning sunset metallic finish. Featuring a very light two-piece Alder body, quartersawn Maple neck with a very comfy soft 'V' profile, 9.5" radius, 1.65" bone nut, 6105 frets and handwound John Cruz Fat '50s pickups. This was a very limited run from the custom shop for the Frankfurt Messe show in 2014, and consequently these are now very rare to find.

The only modifications are that the original blender tone control has been converted to a standard stock strat tone control, however can be converted back to a blender or customised to the customers requirements.

FENDER AGED VINTAGE STYLE MACHINE HEADS

The Fender Vintage-Style Machine Heads are a perfect fit for this Stratocaster. Offering vintage styling and excellent tuning stability, these are a great set of Machine Heads. They have also been aged by the custom shop to give them a worn in aesthetic.

JOHN CRUZ HAND WOUND FAT 50 PICKUPS

This guitar features very rare hand wound pickups by John Cruz who no longer works at Fender, consequently making these very rare set. John Cruz was probably the most renowned builder at Fender, and has made guitars for many famous guitarists over the years, making these pickups extremely sought after, that can no longer be attained since his departure from the Custom Shop.

HEAVY RELIC SUNSET METALLIC NITROCELLUOSE FINISH

This strat has a lovely heavy relic finish that has been carried out by the Cstomhop to give this guitar a very worn in look and feel. It features wear all over the bodynd has some really nice lquer checking that is visible in certain lighting. This guitar really looks as if it has been on the road for many decades!

ALDER BODY

When used as the body material on a Stratocaster, alder can deliver a bright, clear tone with good sustain and projection. It provides a strong foundation for the guitar's pickups and enhances the natural resonance of the instrument.

6-SCREW VINTAGE STYLE TREMELO BRIDGE

The vintage-style tremolo is essentially unchanged from the original Stratocaster bridge. It's very well made and allows you to add smooth vibrato into your playing.
