First thoughts on the update Mini Headstock Tuner:
The D'Addario Mini Tuner was an excellent tuner in it's previous form but has been improved greatly in important areas. D'Addario could have just stayed with the old one but it's great to see them pushing to improve an already widely used and great product.
Should I Upgrade?
In a lot of situations our customers have multiples of these tuners. Having one for each guitar is not really a problem since they are so discrete.
This is a worthwhile upgrade particularly as your old one could still go to good use on another guitar.
