This stunning off set PJD St. John Elite embodies all the hall marks of a classic design with a clean modern finish. The PJD St. John Elite features a chambered swamp ash body, paired with a flame maple top. The neck is made from roasted maple, with a custom neck profile based on a standard "C" shape. The guitar is finished in a stunning Cherry Burst Nitro finish and is fitted with a Cream T Eliminator Humbucker and a Cream T P90. Hand made in the UK.

The Gotoh Vintage-Style Machine Heads are a perfect fit for the St John Elite. With vintage styling and excellent tuning stability these are a great set of Machine Heads.

AMERICAN ASH BODY & FLAME MAPLE TOP

This guitar has a lovely chambered Swamp Ash body with a book matched Flame Maple top.

Ash produces chiming highs, clear midrange and strong low end that lets higher overtones ring through, resulting in greater harmonic content.

The Cherry Burst Nitro finish pairs beautifully with the Flame Maple top.

GLOSS NITRO FINISH  

Nitro finish allows the wood on your guitar to breathe, yielding a more open sound and greater sustain. It's a very high quality finish that looks and feels great.

CREAM T P90 & ELIMINATOR HUMBUCKER

Using Cream T's proprietory Super Scanner this pickup has been produced by cloning a 1961 Gibson ES-330. This gives you a fat, clean tone with a smoother treble ideal for harder, driving rock with more grind. It sounds like an old P-90 rather than a new pickup with hard edges.

The Eliminator Humbucker has a warm, moderate output designed for classic blues, rock, country and pop.

Both of these pickups brillantly capture the golden era tones we all know and love.

'HOT DOG' FRETS

'Hot dog' fret ends have a decidedly rounded shape, hence the 'Hot dog' look. This is not a universal name for this type of fret, but luthiers commonly call it that!

On a premium fretted instrument, such as a PJD the hand rolled fret ends show the luthier has spent a good amount of time making sure every fret is not only leveled and perfect, but also has super-smooth edges that feel good on the fret hand. The 'Hot dog' frets have a unqiue feel to them but are very comfortable and are considered to be a premium option on a guitar.
