‘Created in conjunction with guitar prodigy and Grammy Award-nominated singer–songwriter Marcus King, the MK Ultra is our first-ever amplifier designed with Orange USA and built in the USA. Using the highest-quality components available, including American-made custom Heyboer transformers, this hand-wired 30-watt all-valve guitar amplifier represents a marriage of classic American and British tonal sensibilities. Make no mistake though, this is not a copy of a previous design with slight modifications. This is a unique innovation that offers a new approach to the trademark Orange sound.

The MK Ultra features carefully tuned input circuitry that not only responds amazingly well to different volumes and tone settings on your guitar but also takes pedals extremely well and moulds them into the tone instead of sitting them on top. This is driven by a pair of 12AX7 preamp valves feeding into a power amp section consisting of two 6L6GC power valves that are cathode-biased. This choice of output valves is a first for Orange, bringing out all the harmonics and touch sensitivity that Marcus demands.
Although this is a unique artist signature model (only 150 made), players from many different genres will be able to dial in their own tones and sounds. From country to blues, classic rock to jazz fusion, and everything in between, the range of this simple three-knob design has to be heard to be believed’.

TAILORED EQ FIT FOR A “KING”

This one-of-a-kind circuit design features EQ controls in different parts of the circuit that are totally independent. The specific ranges and frequencies of these controls were voiced for Marcus, making it impossible to dial in a bad sound.

30 WATTS OF ALL VALVE POWER!

This amp is completely hand wired with the best quality components available and the two 6L6GC power tubes and two 12AX7 preamp tubes complement this circuit perfectly!

VAST TONAL CAPIBILITIES IN A SIMPLE DESIGN

Asides the volume control, the Marcus King MK Ultra only two EQ controls,and these are:

The SING (treble) control
This can also be described as a variation input bright control, bringing you the tone you need for the atmosphere you’re playing in. Adjust the sound to pair perfectly with your guitar.

The DEEP (bass) control
Think of this as more of an overall thickening to the sound. Start with it all the way down and, after finding the Volume and Sing levels you want, increase the Deep control until you find the thickness you want.

As Marcus said himself, it genuinely is a 'set and forget' type of amp.
