We are very lucky to be offering this 2012 Gibson Custom Shop Paul Kossoff 59' Les Paul in a stunning VOS finish. Only 250 of these were made in a very limited run in 2012 that recreates Paul Kossoff's original 1959 Les Paul Standard. Borrowing the priceless original, the Custom Shop digitally scanned its dimensions, reproducing the full C profile of the neck to the most accurate detail. Finished in a nitrocelluose 'Vintage Old Stock' finish, this has very minimal wear and gives the owner a chance to put their own wear on it and make it their own. Faithful to the smallest detail, this instrument is a great investment if you are a fan Kossoff or even just fond of Les Pauls and Gibson's history.

AGED GOLD GROVER TUNERS

Featuring gold aged Grover tuners these are recreated as close as possible to Kossoff's original 59' tuners. These are very high quality and provide great tuning stability.

MAHOGANY BODY WITH STUNNING AAA MAPLE TOP

Featuring a gorgeous highly flamed, hand selected maple top this is just stunning and certainly looks even better in person depending on the lighting.

NITROCELLUOSE LEMON BURST VOS FINISH

Featuring a 'Vintage Old Stock' finish, this is almost a blank canvas for you to put your own personal wear on it after years of use, adding your own personal touch to the instrument. The nitro finish allows the guitar to breathe, subsequently retaining it's resonance.

AGED NICKEL GIBSON CUSTOM BUCKER 'PAF' ALNICO III HUMBUCKERS

Featuring a set of Gibson Custom Bucker Alnico III pickups this guitar really has that true Gison 59-60 PAF tone and clarity - Super smooth on the neck and a great bite on the bridge.

GIBSON ABR-1 TUNEMATIC BRIDGE

The classic Gibson ABR-1 bridge is very high quality and provides great tuning stability. It has been very slightly aged by the Gibson Custom Shop, giving it that worn in aesthetic.

ELECTRONICS

In the 50/60's Gibson used Sprague Black Beauty caps that were rated . 022 +/-20% 400v. Made with a distinctive yellow and black striped casing they later became known as "bumble bee" caps. They are known for their warm, vintage tone and are a must have in any '59 style Gibson.
