D'Addario EXP Coated Phosphor Bronze

A 50% thinner, more concentric coating is applied to the wrap wire BEFORE it’s wound onto the hex core. This is in contrast to Elixir who wrap the entire finished string in a Cortex type jacket. Due to the different approach D'Addario use for this coating they feel and sound far more natural. In our experience you would struggle to tell the difference in a blind test with two identical guitars strung with coated and non coated.
