The JZ5 “Jazz Café” is light in weight, but longer than the other “Jazz Café” models. The acorn shaped tip provides for a slightly darker cymbal tone.
Maple is a very light wood which allows for a large diameter stick without the weight. Small sticks are ultra light for precision and subtlety.
