The MXR Classic Fuzz is essentially a Fuzz Face with a face lift (no pun intended). Built in a more pedal board friendly housing (Phase 100-sized), the Classic Fuzz features some handy modern features that the Fuzz Face lacks. On the MXR Classic Fuzz you’ll find optional AC adapter operation, a battery door and true bypass with LED. Also featured on the Classic Fuzz is a buffer switch that eliminates the audible oscillation caused when some wah-wahs are placed in front of the Fuzz Face.
